Marching Band

Marching Band gathers at Band Camp and plays at Halftime shows during Penncrest football games
home and away.

Concert Band

Concert band is scheduled for one period each day and is open to enrollment upon approval of the director. All freshmen band members are members of the Concert Band. This band performs in Fall, Winter, and Spring concerts.

Jazz Band

The Penncrest Jazz Program invites all Penncrest students to participate
in America's Unique Art Form. Auditions occur in the fall and are open to
any Penncrest band member, as well as rhythm section players from the
general student body. Students will be placed either in the Jazz Band, run
by Mr. Snyder, or the Jazz Combo, run by Mr. Fisher. Both groups perform
in various concerts and festivals throughout the year..

Wind Ensemble

The Wind Ensemble is a select instrumentation group that meets one period each day. Enrollment is by audition only, beginning Sophomore year. Auditions occur in the Spring. The Wind Ensemble performs in Fall, Winter, and Spring concerts. It is recommended that prospective Wind Ensemble members study with a private teacher and play on a professional instrument.

Indoor Percussion

A competitive group that meets at the conclusion of marching band,
and is active until early May. Membership is by audition. You do not have
to be in the band program, or currently play a percussion instrument to
perform with the drum line

Color Guard

The purpose of the color guard is to interpret the music that the marching band is playing via the synchronized spinning of flags, rifles, and through dance.

We do several very successful fund-raisers every year. It is mandatory
to be involved!
